Hi Everybody! We are new owners to a 1997 Carver 455 named "It's About Time". We love the layout of this boat, and plan to make her our Florida home in the 6 worst months of New England weather. If anyone owns one, please let us know so we might be able to find out more about the possible issues and peculiarities of this model. She has Cummins 450s with 1500 hours, and we just serviced the diesels (oil changes, aftercooler replacements, new exhaust wet-side risers, etc. We are docked just inside the Anclote River in Holiday, Florida, and plan to move her further south as time goes on. This is all new to us, as we have only sailed for most of our lives aboard our Pearson 34 in Maine. This 455 is like a floating condo by comparison - VERY comfortable.
