I have a 97' 355AC and yesterday our salon and V berth air conditioner stopped working. What I mean by that is that the water pump and compressor stopped running. The fan on the AC unit will interestingly will run. I know the water pump works because it works for the aft cabin airconditioner. Also when the aft cabin AC unit runs, theres good water flow out of hte boat and the sea strainer is clean.

Does any one have any experience troubleshooting these systems? It's a Marine Air, VRP16K, 16,000btu unit. I'm reasonably handy, but AC is not my forte. Any guidance or troublshooting assistance would be appreciated. Wondering if maybe caps failed?

Where is my best bet to find matched gelcoat for a 65 Marquis from 2007?

Just wanted to pass along something I found that may be useful to others.

As you can see from the pics attached, our screw cover/trim molding on the exterior was in pretty poor shape. After much research, I found an Amazon supplier that would send samples of various sizes and colors for just the cost of shipping. So I ordered a set and they turned out to be really nice.

While all three profiles (1/2", 5/8" and 3/4") would fit into the slot, the 5/8" gave us the look we were going after and provided a solid seal. The 1/2" was a little loose and the 3/4" bulged a little more than we preferred.

Anyway, here's some before and after pics, along with a profile of what we took out vs. the new. I'm also attaching a pic of the sample I ordered in case someone else is interested. I have no connection with this seller and get nothing in return. And since I just installed it, I am not sure about longevity. However for now at least I have a good seal and it look so much better!!

I need to replace the stateroom port hole windows on my 1986 Mariner. Where can I find suitable replacements?

Have a 2016 C37. The screen under the moon roof (is that what it's called?) in the main salon has come loose from its tracks. Any suggestions on how to fix this or get replacement parts? How hard is it to remove the headliner if necessary? Thanks.

Confused here a bit. Just spent 3 hours on a 1986 Riviera considering a purchase. Probably not gonna happen as it needs all new canvas and I suspect that’s quite a few $$$

Here’s my confusion I was reading some posts here by or about Riviera owners etc and they indicated it had a BW v drive? The boat I was looking at had straight BW velvets? Twin merc chevys.

Did this set up vary due to engine? Just interested.

It appears to me that the forward window frames (and possibly the forward parts of the side windows) are made of wood and are deteriorated to the point of needing replacing or rebuilding. Anyone else come upon this phenomenon? Anyone ever replaced the wood framing? I surely could use a few pointers. Is this something a good carpenter can handle as there are no boat builders or fiberglass boat repairers where the boat is.

Did Carver deliver the 41CMY with non conforming nav lights?

From everything I have read I am supposed to have the standard red and green on port and starboard however it's the white light I am confused about as the only one is a steaming light (masthead) up above the radar arch pointing towards the rear. Not going to change anything however it seems I am missing a forward facing white light. I guess I could switch on the anchor light for forward white visibility?

Any idea where to buy replacement wiper blades. Ones made for autos don’t work with the connection to wiper arms. 1999 Voyager 450.

I'm buying a 530 Voyager with a Simrad AP 22. Does anyone know what other Simrad auto pilot units are compatible with the Ap 22?
