We purchased a 2000 Carver 396 with twin 454's in late January and have been redoing a lot of things. Our first weekend on board at LOTO with hopefully everything completed will be 4/29 and we are super excited! We fixed everything on the survey (work was minimal), new electronics/stereo, new LED's throughout the boat as well as under water, new bottom paint, Buff/wax, and new enclosure is being made as I type this. Just thought I would share how it turned out so far!

What is this green vent? It is located on the aft of the hull and the vents are facing aft

Hello all,
I'm replacing the steps going up to my flybridge with teakwood any suggestions besides putting oil on it?
Should I reinforce with a steel plate?

Our Carver Mariner 36 had a leak during recent storms and we have extensive water damage to the dining room table. It’s odd shaped and I can’t seem to find a replacement (Tried Great Lakes Skipper).

Any help or suggestions welcome!

I have just registered here and thanks for making me a member. We have a pretty new to us1989 Carver Californian 48 motor yacht that we have spent 9 months refitting. We are getting ready to leave on the loop in August with a side trip to Knoxville, and Chattanooga. We are very excited to go. If anyone else is in the planning, in progress or done status I would love to hear your advice.

So the last couple seasons I have had a reoccurring plug issue. 30 amp female plug connecting to the male inlet on the boat gets burnt by the end of the season. All three A/C units seems to work OK and I never get any power breaker trip. I have replaced the female plug each year. This year I am replacing both the female and male. I hope to see the issue finally go away.
Just wondering if anyone has an idea why I have keep seeing this. Please feel free to input whatever suggestions you may have.

Does anyone know where one could obtain replacement 12v fuse switches for the power distribution panel for an 80’s model Carver?

Or has anyone done a nice upgrade or improvement to the factory design that they would care to share?

Hello Everyone,

The housing on my Stbd navigation light has crumbled to pieces after 25 years of weather, rain, snow and spray abuse.

After an embarrassing amount of time searching for the white Aqua Signal Series 25 replacement part, I have given up.

Does anyone have a recommended substitute that can mate up with our aluminum "L" shaped mounting brackets?

Got my 28' Carver in for the 2023 season about 1030 this morning.Motors lit right up like they were just shut off. Drove her down to my home and tied up at the dock.Still have to put the arch back on and change some oil but that will get done this week. Anyone else ready to go?
