View the latest post Diagram for bonding on 1994 Carver 350 aft cabin

My 1994 Carver 350 Aft Cabin has several bonding wires that have been cut. I'm in the process of trying to obtain a diagram of all of the locations that should be bonded Soni can determine if there are any other well hidden locations. I'd expect this to include the engines, thru hulls, shafts struts, rudders, metal tanks and a number of common areas that the bonding wires come together. I've looked at my owner's manual and there are diagrams for thru hulls as well as some written materials on bonding without any specifics So far I've found broken or cut bonding wires for one rudder and both my stuffing boxes but expect some bonding wires to be well hidden.

I'm wondering if anyone in the group has seen diagrams for all the bonding locations on this model.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Eric

View the latest post 444 cmy Hydraulic pump ??

We have a 444 cmy. Our auto pilot kicks in just fine, but shortly after gives a low hydraulic error.

There is a hydraulic/steering fluid access point on the steering column, where we can add fluid, if needed, however, we have been unable to locate the reservoir. Any ideas where to look? Would it be the same one that would be for the hydraulic fluid for the auto pilot?

Someone previously suggested under one of the steps in our aft cabin, but ours do not have lifting treads, so that is a no go.

Thanks in advance.

View the latest post Attachment(s) Bridge entryway plastic enclosure panels - 2001 Santego 380

IMG_6265.JPG

I have the original OEM (I assume original?) 5 piece plastic interconnecting pieces that slide into the channel to enclose the forward passageway between the bow and bridge on my 2001 Santego 380. I don't use them anymore because they are sort of a pain, and I now now have a snap on canvas cover. Anyone in need of these?

View the latest post adjustment/maintenance shaft packing

I have a 1988 Carver Mariner with twin 220hp. My boat does not have an aft cabin. My question is I'm looking for someone who has experienced adjusting or adding rounds of packing to the shaft seals. The design of the Mariner is such you can see the shaft and packing adjustment bolts via small floor access covers under the couch and dinette seat, but accessing them is nearly impossible. The only way I see to make any adjustments to the packing is by removing the V drives. There is just no room for wrenches especially on the port side. Has anyone out there ever owned a Mariner and has made this adjustment?
Need help and advise!

View the latest post Attachment(s) Need Starboard Starter ID 1993 Carver Mariner 330

Greetings,

I have a 1993 Mariner 330 with twin Crusaders 350XL/305CI My starboard starter motor failed. I have been trying to find a replacement, however the starter I have has no markings on it. None on the port starter motor either. Part suppliers stating they obviously need this. When I give them the serial #on the motor 91749 They state that is no help either. Anyone have a starter with a brand name or part # etc. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks.

View the latest post Attachment(s) 466 Aft Deck Wet Bar options

Hi team Carver - sitting in my office, s/b working, but instead am thinking about next projects for my New (to me) Carver (so, I will now call this working!). My 2001 466 has the Cabinet over the sink/ice maker on the aft deck (as opposed to the enclosed alarm system). Previous owners have "converted" the space for storage of junk (cleaning stuff, keys, tools, stuff) but in keeping with the name of the unit (its a wet BAR), I would like to un-re-purpose the space back into.... that, a Bar. I note inside that the back wall of the cabinet is mirrored (good start!), and along each side of the bottom of the cabinet are wood strips with what appear to be screw holes in them. I assume there was a different configuration that has been removed. My idea is to build a new bottle cut out to hold bottles in place, leave some space for acrylic glassware and such, and add accent lighting. I have also been scouring the internet looking for pics of what it used to look like, to no avail. Does anyone have the similar wet bar unit (pictured below) where the cabinet is still used for refreshments/glassware, etc and can send a picture? All ideas are welcome, else I will be "winging it".

Looking forward to hearing from any and all! Until then, I leave you with thoughts of sunsets on the water, drinks from the wet BAR, many great voyages ahead and my.....

very best Regards,
Dave B

View the latest post Attachment(s) Carver 466 - Portal trim piece and other parts

Hi Team-Carver - hope all is well during this off-season (I live in NE so....)! New Carver owner, looking for any source of "Carver-specific" parts. Right now I am looking for a trim piece (Cowel?) that goes around the portal in the VIP Head Shower - the current one is broken and loose (picture attached - must have been some rough seas to shower in!!!) and I would like to replace it. I also have 1 or 2 other "Carver" things that I may need to replace - that said, the boat is in great shape overall and happy to have gotten it! If anyone has any tips on where to find parts (new/used - doesn't matter to me as long as they work!) I would appreciate it.

Here's to calm seas for all and I leave you with....

my best Regards,
Dave Brady - 2001 Carver 466

View the latest post Attachment(s) Wet Head - Shower curtain and hardware

On my quest to tackle another project on my (new to us) 1999 Carver 406.

Outside the V-Berth, has a wet head with a shower curtain rail mounted to the ceiling. The curtain and hooks are all missing. Any idea where to look for this hardware and soft good? I have searched online and in all categories of this site under many keywords with NO LUCK. Picture of Head below.

Thanks for any guidance or direction. Hope all are well.
