View the latest post Opinions on 2003 410 Sport Sedan

I’m looking at purchasing a 2003 410 SS. I haven’t found a lot of info online regarding these models. Is there any issues I should look for, or is this a model to stay away from? I’m hoping to go look at it this weekend.

View the latest post Thinking of a Carver

Hello!

We are looking to purchase a 2005 Carver 36 Mariner and have many questions that I am hoping I can find the answers to in this forum.

I hope there is a search feature so I don't repeat questions already asked. :)

View the latest post Attachment(s) Need a New Shaft

Any suggestions on how I can order a new shaft for my port engine for my 1997 350 Mariner? No idea how the shaft broke but it did. I have no idea what size it was or the prop size (both are gone now). Anyone have a number to Carver or anyone that I can give my hull ID to and they can tell me what I need? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

View the latest post Wanted Voyager 53 New England

I live in New England and am looking to buy a Voyager 53. I am open to anything on the east cost or Fla, but would love to find something in New England. I have my Eyes on the sites, but hoping to find someone that is thinking of selling. The Voyager 53 is the prefect layout for us!
If anyone knows anyone looking to sell, please point them my way!
PS: I did reach out to the post selling the 2000 53, but it is not in a location that can works for me unfortunately; It looks like a very nice boat!
Thanks!

View the latest post Attachment(s) Sew-on tabs

I am starting to think about the replacement of the drapery in our aft cabin. I took the drapes out last fall. Today I took of the tabs that run in the track. I was hoping to reuse them but not sure if they will survive another sewing. Does anyone know where I can get replacements?

View the latest post Attachment(s) 1979 Carver 25 Inspection/Opinions

Greetings, New member with my first post. I am currently looking at a restored 79 Carver 25 and am looking for opinions, trouble spots, gotchas before I get an inspection done. The boat- restored about 10 years ago, bridge modified (slightly heightened/lengthened to accommodate taller folk. The bottom was sanded down and then barrier coated and covered semiannually with antifouling, the rest of the boat above the water line was re-shot with interlux and appears to be in great shape with new nonskid as well. The interior bilge areas were protected/painted with a thick protective paint. Motor was rebulit 400 hours ago and has the original 350 w/volvo penta outdrive. There has been a fair amount of re-wiring done as well as new steel railings installed. I have included pictures for perspective and will be test driving it over the coming weeks. Comes with a very good custom triple axel trailer as well. Just looking for thoughts from anyone with any experience with this model. I have read some other posts about the difference between 6/7 and coring above and below the waterline but am not sure about this model or where to look since it is advertised and listed as just a 25 (not 256/257). Thanks for any and all assistance ahead of time, much appreciated.

View the latest post List Your Practical Boating Accessories/Add Ons

Many times it is not easy locating items one would like to have on board so one searches for the best solution. Over the years we have all come up with items not directly boat related however they work perfectly on our boats for our desired application. I have come across quite few and figured it would be nice to share our findings as a collective. You probably will not need most of the stuff listed however some may be just perfect for you and knowing they have been tested and working fine on board goes a long way in making a decision.

Please add any practical item that makes your life easier on board and a description of why if required.

Here is a very small and compact inverter. I used this to power my replacement TV in the master suite. As you know, 12v TVs are very limited and the quality sucks for the lack of a better word. I chose a standard 120v TV and used the inverter to power it. Simply cut and spliced the existing 12v source to the inverter and voila. Your existing dedicated 12v TV breaker still works as it should and will cut power to the TV as intended.

This unit is really tiny and has been in use for 2 seasons now without issue. The inverter presently is powering a 120v 24" Vizio led TV with plenty of reserve power left. It is rated at 150 watts so do not expect to install an 80" TV and run it with this unit. Check the power draw of the TV you intend on using and see if this little guy will suffice.

View the latest post Hello

Hello

I'm Helmut living in Switzerland, sailing in mediterranian.
I'm going to buy a Carver 444 yeau 2005.
Could somebody give me a link for download user-manuals and owner-manuals for this boat?

Another question:
Is the Carver 444 really an extended version of a Carver 396 ? I found a very critical report on the Internet, called << Carver 444 hull design background? Really strange "transom"? >>.

Thank you,
best regards,
Helmut
