View the latest post CARVER 42 SS 2007

I have a Carver 42 SS 2007 that needs a new side window. Does anyone know what colour tint the replacement glass should be to match the original?

View the latest post window seal

On a Carver 466, over time some of the window seals flex and pull out and leak. Has anyone found a good (non messy) way to reseal and tuck the black curved bead back in?

View the latest post Attachment(s) Need a Ac electrical diagram for pumps under galley floor for a 4207, 1988,

Need an Ac electrical diagram for pumps under galley floor for a 4207, 1988. Need to identify main power source for the three Ac pumps. Wiring had minor change which prevents me from running Ac fans or pumps while on shore power but fans run when on generator but not pumps. I have the carver manual but it does not elaborate on this area.

View the latest post Vanner Inv/Chgr and House battery

I seem to be going through batteries fairly quickly. Maybe 2 years out of AGM 8Ds. I have 2 separate 8D starting batteries and an 8D house battery. I just happened to touch my House battery yesterday and it was pretty hot. So I unwired both of the negative leads and let it sit. It cooled down. Then I put one of the 2 leads back on the negative and could operate most of my 12v systems. I'm thinking the other lead runs to the Vanner IQC12 inverter, because the leds are out on the remote panel. But the lights are still on on the actual inverter.
Any ideas what might be going on? Running through batteries is getting a little expensive.

View the latest post Interlux bright side paint match 1989 Carver 36

Hello.
I have recently purchased a Carver 36 1989 that had some deck delamination. I have repaired the problem areas but am having a little problem matching the deck color. I would like to use Interlux Bright Side paint. Any suggestions which colour is the closest match?

View the latest post Bathroom Sink Aerator - Needed 5/8"

The aerators on my boat are a bit beat up from previous owner removing with what looks like pliers.
I can't seem to find any that are the right size (5/8") diameter instead of the standard 15/16".
Any ideas?
Or do I have to get an adapter and then use the 15/16.

View the latest post Replacement LED Recessed Lights

I want to throw out a warning about ordering replacement LED recessed lights concerning the hole cutout diameter. The carvers seem to be quite accurate at 2" hole size. I ordered these ALOVECO LED RV Lights, 12V Led Lights Dimmable Camper Interior Lights 3000K Ultra-Thin RV Lights Interior Waterproof 12 Volt LED Ceiling Lights Motorhome Sailboat Yacht Case of 8 Packs

They were almost perfect, however they are just a hair over 2.00" cutout and my 1996 320 has a perfect 2" hole in all 13, just doesn't quite fit. The hole size listed for the light is 2.16"

So my options are to get out a hole saw or router and bore out all the holes, or order a different set.

After a lot of searching the only one's I could find so far that MIGHT fit the hole are

Dream Lighting LED 12volt DC Recessed Ceiling Light for RV Caravan Boat Cabin Kitchen, Warm White, Chrome Plated, Pack of 10

I haven't decided if I'm ordering them, or boring out my 2" hole's.

View the latest post DEXRON II replacement?

Did a lot of research and see that the Dexron II fluid is yellow or light brown, so I was confused abouit it being gear lube. What has replaced this for my Hurth filter and fluid change? I see that Dexron VI is backwards compatible for Dex II?

View the latest post Mag 350 MPI Fuel Pump

Hey All,
I"ve had issues with my Port engine on my 1999 Carver 350 and have narrowed it down to a bad fuel pump. After identifying the part #, I've learned the pump is not sold separately anymore, but is now sold as a "fuel pump cooling kit" (861156A02). Has anyone out there experienced this and/or had to replace their electric fuel pump and have suggestions for an online vendor?

Thanks
Steve (Batwing)
