My horns on my 1994 390 are tired, so much they sound like a turtle crossing the road. I found them up front under the forward cubby. They are strange looking as they are down turned to the bottom cut out . I am going to see if i can get a pic. Anyone else know what I mean or replaced their horns?

Purchased a new to us 1988 3227 Convertible that was not equipped with a windlass. A friend gifted me a Lofrans X2 he had as a spare, but I'm not sure where to install given small rode locker and limited deck space.

Has anyone installed a windlass on this year/model?

'83 3607 aft cabin "Damn Boat". Neither pump is getting power, but I have power to the switches. Since the bilge sniffer doesn't work either, I suspect my problem lies in the cabling from the lower helm to the units. Doe anyone happen to know how the cable is routed from the lower helm? I just don't want to disassemble more than I have to to check the connectors.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I recently bought a used 1983 Riv. The previous owner swapped out the Crusaders back in 2003 with GM 4-bolt mains truck 350 cid engines.

Can anyone share their opinion about these? Does anyone have documentation about them?

We just bought our '88 Carver 3607 and after the hot water tank heats up, the smell is awful like raw onions marinating in sewer. Ran three bottles of odour/sanitizer through it and now fresh water is good and hot water is good as long as its cold. Any ideas?

On my Carver 28 (1988), 2 x 5.7L 350 Crusaders i want to replace the packing or the stuffing boxe's.

After winter when i put the boat in the water the stuffing boxe's leak as fu*k but after i start the engines and put in gear it just droppes like a drop every 5 seconds and in the end of the season it has stopped leaking. But this year one of the prop shafts leaked alot after that and i bought some tools to be able to tighten the packing nut and got the leak to almost stop. But i am lucky this was under the kitchen and not under the bathroom becaus i can't even realize how to get to that one. So in winter i will try to replace the packing material or replace the stuffing boxe's with something different..

What do you guys/girls recommend?. I have 2 gas 350 v8 and pay Swedish gas prices so at this point i don't care about the price

And also if the 2 nuts and packing material is best does anyone have link to special tools that fit? becaus all my and the tools i can find here are to big to turn those nuts

My fridge in our 390CPMY is an original NORCOLD. It is working but I believe it is getting old and I am not one who likes to replace when “under the gun” so to speak, so I am thinking of a planned replacement. I have seen Norcold, Isotherm and Vertrigo. Any input? I have a two door type freezer on top approx 7 to 8 cu ft.

Hi. If anyone can tell me what this three beep alarm means. I will explain circumstances.
I have a 396MY - 2001. My engines were starting perfecting until approximately a week and a half ago, when my port engine decided not to start. I have the push button run/start/stop keypad for my engines. Normally you will get a loud beep, which sets the engines ready to start. I receive that on my starboard side motor, but not on the port engine. Let me explain just a little further. I was able to start my port engine a week ago Monday. It ran for 30 to 40 minutes. Everything was fine. I turned it off. It will not restart, although I tried it about two hours after running it.
What I have found out this week, after trying to start it again, is that while I was away from the boat during the week, there was an audio alarm going off every two to three minutes with three continuous beeps. I know it is not the FireBoy or the CO monitors, since we went through and disconnected them. The sound is coming from the dash where the keypad is for the port engine. When I turn the power off to the engine (port side), the beeps do not occur.
Does anyone know what the three beeps means? It must be a code/alarm.
Any help would be great. If anyone has a list of the codes that the beeps mean, that would be fabulous.
I have Horizon 8.1 engines in a 2001 Carver 396MY.
