View the latest post Attachment(s) Kohler generator wont start

I am working on a Kohler 56 foot boat. The Kohler generator model 23EOZD will not start. It doesnt even turn over. The battery is good and the control power is functional. When I press run it briefly flashes CC1 and I can hear the fuel pump run for a short time. The display then changes to OC which is Over Crank. According to the manual the generator should go through the CC1-CC2-CC3 process where each CC represents an attempt by the starter to start the generator set. In my case it only goes CC1. I thought I would check here and see if anyone has any ideas as to how to proceed.

View the latest post Attachment(s) 1983 Carver Mariner V drive cooling system help

Hi all and if I'm in the wrong place for this I'm sorry, let me know and I will look elsewhere. I recently got a deal I couldn't refuse on a model 2897 Carver 1983 with twin 305 chevys. Anyway my only issue with the boat is the V-drives. The cooling hoses are disconnected on all ends and the hoses lay on the bottom of the boat starting and ending nowhere. Does anyone have a cooling schematic or photo for me to trace all this out. I read I should pressure test the cooling pipe inside the V-drive to be sure there is no water leaks into the drive oil. This is no sweat and and easy test. I have all the equipment to do this as I am a semi-retired mechanic with 50 years under my belt. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

View the latest post Proud Owner 1981 3607 Aft Cabin

I am the proud new owner of a 1981 3607 aft cabin. We love the layout and are still exploring all the ins and out of the vessel. We're looking forward to new adventures in the Pacific Northwest and Canada's west coast. I'm hoping this forum will be able to provide me with some experienced knowledge of the Carver systems.

View the latest post Access to swim platform bolts 3807

Good morning,
Looking to reseat my swim platform bolts that are showing rust trails / water intrusion on the bulkhead. I was able to hinge the aft cabin bed down the middle, this should make it easier to perform routine cleaning and inspection. I’ve been able to remove the swim platform bolts & backing stainless on the portside but can’t figure out how I would remove the ones on the starboard without cutting an access panel thru the back of the dresser. Any thoughts?

Thanks Dave

I Need a LH spare prop for my 2004- 560 Voyager w/ Volvo 675”s. ZF-FPS. D.29P.32.2LH
I would consider a repairable prop or a set if reasonably priced.

View the latest post 95 Carver 370 ACMY Listing to Starboard

Wondering if anyone else has a 370 ACMY that lists slightly to Starboard?

My fuel tanks are both at the same level and my water tank (under the aft cabin bed) is empty. When I fill my water tank it gets slightly better but since it's mostly in the center of the boat it really doesn't affect anything. Both waste tanks are empty as well. This has been bugging me for the past couple years, just can't figure out why.

View the latest post When To Change The Oil

Just curious. I am old school in that I believe you change your oil in the fall just before winter layup. My mechanic is of the school that you change your oil in the spring.

Last fall I came out a bit late so I did not get the oil changed so it will be done after I launch this season.

What is your thought, fall or spring.
