View the latest post Attachment(s) 355 AC/MY Side aft Window Rubber

The aft side windows have a black rubber wedge that friction fits around these windows. The rubber has shrunk over time and thus we have loss the top piece. I do not see this part listed in the 355 Carver Parts Manuel and was wondering if anyone has ordered this from Taylor or some where else, what's it called or do you have a part number to give to Taylor?

View the latest post 98 350 Mariner - Fresh Water plumbing issue

Hello, when I run any faucet in the boat, it spits and spurt for a minute or two or sometime much longer until I get a nice stream. It does this whether I am connected to fresh water "hose" bib or have water in the fresh water tank or both. It seems to be much (MUCH) worse if NOT connected to a water source (ie., hose bib). Any suggestions on where to look? The screens on my faucets and coming into the boat are clean and my water source is nice city water. Do the 2 sources T-in together so that all of those faucets, shower and toilet work regardless of which or both are sourcing the fresh water? HELP!

View the latest post Walter Gear Dive Fluid Change

Any tips or tricks to changing the gear drive fluid? I have a Jabsco hand pump and some clear 3/16 I.D. tube, but I can’t seem to get the tube in far enough to draw fluid. I got about 12” fed in there, but it’s just drawing air. I’m going to try the harder whiteish plastic tube next. Maybe hit it with a heat gun to get some of the curl out of it.

View the latest post Carver 506 fuel leveling system between tanks

Hi - I have a fuel leveling valve system that is supposed to level the fuel between my starboard and port fuel tanks. The previous owner said he never got it to work properly. Does someone else have history with this option that can guide me to any tricks of the trade ? My generator pulls from the port fuel tank and is always considerably lower in fuel than the starboard tank.
Thanks,
Jim Floyd

View the latest post Attachment(s) 2019 Carver C52

So this is the new 2019 Carver C52 sitting waiting for the show to start. Futuristic yes, cutting edge yes, but none of us would shell out big bucks for an everyday car that looked 20 years old. So I am okay with the new look.
The biggest positive I see is the simple fact Carver still is making boats as this is not a Marquis. Look on the side of the boat because it says Carver.
So Carver has my support :usa:

View the latest post Diesel Winterization

Sorry for the ugly word winterization but it is on the doorstep whether we like it or not. Diesel is relatively new to me since all my previous boats were gas. Question is, should one add some type of treatment for the layup period such as stabilizer for gas? I do make sure I have run through both main and aux tanks during the summer so I know the diesel is relatively fresh for the layup period. I do tend to fill up rather full to eliminate as much condensation as possible.

Found this which kinda says additives sometimes work depending on the diesel fuel manufacturer (like we know where it comes from or the formulation :banghead: ) which tells me either it is doing a good thing or pouring money into the tank when choosing to add something.

Also I do see "Stabil" does sell a diesel version.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0036CJ15O/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

View the latest post Fuel Sender/FLoat Leaking

I have been getting fuel smells in my boat, and replacing fuel fill hoses and vent hoses. In the process I found my fuel sender/floats are leaking on port and starboard sides. Cannot seem to find replacements. There are numbers on top flange that are 175 2614 and are 17 1/2" long. The gauges are VDO dual station. Anyone know where to get replacements? :banghead:
