View the latest post 1989 Carver 3207 New windshield wiper motor and housing for

I am trying to fine the part number to replace the helm wiper. I need to replace the whole assembly, the wiper blade broke in half at the mount. The motor does not turn the camshaft. It's on a 32' 1989 Carver Aft Cabin, 3207.
Thank you

View the latest post Attachment(s) 3607 steps, new storage

On my 3607, the bottom step is hinged so you have access to the battery and fuel switches mounted inside.

I noticed that there seemed to be a gap under the second step, so when I was re-doing the carpet on the steps I decided to unscrew that step and check it out. Sure enough, there is a compartment there that's two steps high and one step deep. So I bought a piano hinge and now both steps open up for access.

I'm thinking of moving my battery and fuel switched up to that second step. I've been wanting to reconfigure the battery switch, as it's just a 1-all-2-off switch. It would be nicer to not have to bend as far down to check or switch either the battery or fuel too, and then I can use the lower step just for pure storage.

Here's some pics (they open farther but all I had handy to hold them open were small flashlights) :

View the latest post New 1986 3607 Aft Cabin owner

My best friend and I just purchased an '86 3607 Aft Cabin. This forum was already a great source of information as we were doing our shopping - first for a '32 and then things got a bit out of hand. :approve:

Looking forward to being part of the great community that you have here!

P.S. Did I mention our maiden voyage will be to cruise from Muskegon, MI to Huron OH? And that this is our first boat? I expect that you'll be hearing a lot from us.

Hi. New schurflo aqua king II 4 gal per min fresh water pump. Does not provide steady flow; cycles continually (no accumulator tank). Better as more faucets opened. Why am I not getting steady flow? Pump too big?

Other than galley, hot water flow very weak; even on shore water (galley not great). Almost no flow. Faucets have been replaced with home type spout faucets with no aerators. Best flow overall is cold water wet bar faucet (stock) on bridge.

Any thoughts? Appreciate any insights.

View the latest post Attachment(s) 355 Aft cockpit gate

Hey all, I have a 1995 355 Aft Cabin. Looking for option to put a gate to block the stairs from the cockpit to the swim platform.

I have seen newer or 40ft versions of my boat with what appears to be a white gate for that area. Anyone have an idea where I might be able to find one? Or has anyone come up with an alternative solution that worked well.

Thank you in advance for any ideas, suggestions or feedback.

This is kind of what I am looking for:

View the latest post Attachment(s) Generator transfer switch

So I am totally confused while working through an issue on my generator. I have a 1995 Carver 355 Aft Cabin. It has a Kohler 6.5kw s/n 347222 if that helps.

The boat is fairly new to me, lost an engine last year on my maiden voyage so it never left the dock. This year started using it and working through this generator problem. What is interesting is I don't have a transfer switch on the panel. This has me super perplexed. I thought maybe there is an automatic transfer somewhere I cant see?

Here is what I am experiencing, if I am on shore power, turn the generator on and switch the breaker pull on the generator to the on position the generator will take over, I can turn the shore power off and the generator will work okay.

If however, I am not on shore power turn the generator on and then flip the breaker pull to the on position it makes a loud buzzing sound on the panel and shuts down.

If I am on or off shore power and I keep the pull in the on position and try to start the generator it will not stay running.

Coming off the generator there are the three normal wires that go into what appears to be a capacitor of some sort first.

My assumption is this is intended to clean the power from the generator before it goes to the panel. I traced the "out" line from the capacitor and it appears to go straight up to the panel.

I reviewed the original schematics and it appears there was an intention for a transfer switch in the panel. There is clearly a spot for it but there is nothing there. I opened up the panel and everything looks extremely neat and organized, like it would have been from the factory. It doesn't appear that anything was changed. All connectors match and there is black starboard where the extra switch opening is.

My assumption is there is some kind of automatic transfer switch somewhere that I cant find. I am also summing that is the cause of the issue. No clue where to go from here. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thank you.

Hi - I just got a Carver 405 and have an issue with shower draining. It is very slow. I am thinking that there may be hair blockage somewhere? How can I resolve this issue. Thanks in advance.

Regards

View the latest post 3607 swim platform

Does anyone know the factory weight loading spec. for the swim platform on a 3607 aft cabin? Any one have any experience boarding a larger heavier RIB (11'L X 5.5B - 560 #) on a 3607 swim platform. I've investigated towing options, crane davits, etc. but am interested in shipping it on the transom swim platform. I'm also investigating fabricating a larger, stronger platform with swimplatforms.com. Thanks
