Hey there,

Just joined and this is my first posting. I have a 1998 40' Cockpit Carver and need some help. I have a smell in my aft cabin that I can't figure out what it is. I want to say a head smell kind of, but not coming from the head, just aft cabin. I replaced the carpet flooring with new vinyl and that didn't work. No matter where I check I can't pinpoint the smell coming from a single place. I purchased the boat a year ago and the previous owner couldn't figure out the smell either. My next area to check was maybe it's the original hoses for the pump-out and holding tanks...any help would be appreciated!

I have seen on a few pictures etc that there was a factory option of storage trays that fitted in the port & starboard engine hatches.
Anyone know where i can get them & hey in the UK would be great but truly amazing lol

I own a 2005 56' Voyger that is currently 4 hrs away. I would like to purchase wiper blades for a upcoming trip to get the boat home. Does anyone know what size etc. they are? I would like to pick purchase some since there are few options close to the marina where the boat is located.

Hey guys, anyone have any experience with King starboard anti skid for steps? I’m replacing my aft teak steps with king starboard anti skid. Wondering on thickness, thinking 1/2” or 3/4” ... is this stuff pretty stiff? I’m thinking on going 5” wide as opposed to the 2.5” wide that the current ones are. The step width is 22”. At boat outfitters you can buy the stuff pre cut and have a routed edge put on, kinda cool. Thanks.

Hello all, I have a bit of a issue .I own a 86 carver 3207 and due to age and neglect my bimini is torn, i need a new one.My issue is custom top shops around here about about 1500 to make a new Bimini.Whats the difference between one i can order for 600.00 that is almost exactly the same size vs them coming and fitting one to my existing Poles? I'm super curious because 1500 and almost a month wait just seems to be allot of extra for me .any info you have would be helpful. does anyone have a original black one for sale along with black window covers.

Hi new Member here! Starting to think spring so joined this neat forum to learn something from other Carver owners. I purchased a mint condition 28' Carver Santa Cruz 2866 some years ago for lake trout fishing (only had around 250 Hrs on the engines and stored always indoors). I think they call this the Sport Fisherman model due to the large fishing deck in back. Works great!

So for us in the frozen north, soon it will be time to compound/buff/wax hulls etc.
What is everyone using for cutting/compounding pads nowadays......anything out there that has turned out better than the lambs wool pads and the variable speed buffer.I have seen lots of these foam pads that are different colours but never used any of those. Seems the lambs wool pads grab a lot after a short time of use.. :banghead:
