View the latest post 450 voyager pilot house-mine will be 1999 with 450 Cummins

i am surveying my 1999 new purchase ( subject to survey ) Sept 10.
I am a very experience boater and my last 4550 Bayliner Pilothouse which I owned for 12 years was fantastic in most areas even though Bayliners reputation for building quality boats in terrible
The 1987 4550 was lacking for sure in finish work..electrical and fixable upgrades like that...BUT...
Her semi displacement hull was amazing. I was a rough sea cruiser. Along the Atlantic Coast a couple of miles off shore running from East Rockaway to Montauk was often done in 3 to 5 and sometime 4-6 seas. She ran like a champ...I ran along side Hats and Vikings and while i could not keep to speed wise, my 4550 was seaworthy and took the seas well.
NOW FOR THE 450 VOYAGER
1. I have been told from research and a former Carver salesman the following:
2. Hull thickness is lacking
3. Glass windows are too thin and can break easily
4. in a 3-5 Sea the 450 Voyager borders on dangerous with a pounding ride and she is a very very wet boat
4. There is an issue with tabbing ( not trim tabs but the tabs attachments connecting the hull to the house)
WOULD SP APPRECIATE ANY CURRENT OWNER IN PUT ON THIS
MANY THANKS SCOTT SGRODY@GMAIL.COM

Well, we dood it! We closed on our Carver 390, and I'm looking forward to picking your brains to keep our new yacht as shipshape as we got it (or make it even better!).

View the latest post 1996 370 Voyager

Hello All, I am looking at this vessel and can't seem to find out accurate information on the following:

Favorable cruising speed with 7.4 MPI Merc's.

Fuel burn at cruising speed.

I really like the looks and layout of this boat and would like this info before committing.

Thank you

View the latest post Taking Her Out For The First Time

Tomorrow I will be taking my new to me 1981 Carver 3007 Aft Cabin out for the first time. It will be our first trip together. Heading to a rendezvous with some of my fellow boat club members. We will be anchoring out at a local anchorage area on the Detroit River just before the river enters Lake Erie.

Hoping that the weather cooperates. There is a chance of thundershowers but we have weathered them before. This is a fairly well protected anchorage. Closed on the west, south and east but open to the north. As long as the weather comes from the west or southwest we will be OK.

Will post about it most likely upon return although I will have internet capability using my smartphone as a hot spot so who knows, I could post sooner.

View the latest post Impeller part number for 2006 Volvo TAMD75P-EDC

I realize this is a crazy question to be asking, but it's really more about timing of a boat trip.

I just bought a 2006 46MY with the Volvo TAMD75P-EDC engines, but I don't have it in my possession just yet. I'm supposed to hop aboard Tuesday evening and go on a 260 mile trip getting it to it's destination. I'd like to order up some spare parts for the trip, but I don't have the manuals with me.

So, does anyone know the part number for the raw water pump impeller? What I *think* might be the part number is Volvo OEM part # 877066. Also crosses over to Jabsco 17935-0001-P.

Does anyone know if this is correct? I just need to get these on order right away to have them by Tuesday if at all possible.

Thanks in advance!
