Has anyone ever mounted a Davit and wave runner to a carver hard top? How much weight can they hold? I have a sea doo that weighs about 700lbs full and I am looking for a place to mount it so I can take it with me. I own a 1999 Carver 356 Aft Cabin. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Sling on the back? Maybe?

Hi. I recently bought a 1995 355 Aft Cabin and love it. The only thing I don't like is the out dated electronics. Furuno GP-31 GPS Navigator (almost useless), Furuno LS-8000 Sounder (Almost useless) Raytheon RIOXX Raster Scan Radar (almost useless) and Standard Horizon CP180i GPS (works okay but not quite what I feel I need). Because I don't know much about it, I thought that just because the boat had the equipment I had it covered
I think I need to start over and I am a bit scared at the prospect and the cost to do it. I would like a large, easy top read display. I want GPS, Radar and Sonar, plus any other goodies I may need but don't know it. This is my first real ocean boat. My last boat was a 30 foot Chapparal and I installed a Raymarine A70d which worked pretty well, but I need a lot more on this boat. I am thinking of having a system installed. I get differing opinions from people who want to sell me something. I am really a novice with electronics so I need user friendly stuff. Any suggestions on what complete system to get and info about it would be appriciated. My boat is in Oxnard CA.

Hello my name is Joe Olivar, I have a 1997 Carver 405. doing some upgrades to my vessel, hoping I can gain some info, through this Forum, to proceed , with my project.

We have a 1988 3806 Aft cabin that has enclosure around aft deck that needs to be painted. What type of paint would you use. Not sure what this material is.

I would like to ask for someones help. My wife purchased a 1976 Carver 33' Mariner with twin 351W engines. Does anyone have or could point me in the right direction for manuals, specs and parts.
My main concerns right know are getting the engines started and checking the electrical and water lines. This way I can get some idea of the costs to restore. Any help would be great. Also it has a 6.5 KW Onan generator. I have the manuals, but I cannot find a picture that shoes the mounting bracket for the small sea water pump that goes on the front. Most pictures show and L-brkt on the left, but this has to go on the right under the water manifold. No other place to fit it. By the way, it can be a beautiful boat again with the right manuals to restore properly.

My wife and I recently purchased a Carver 444 with the intention of living on and cruising the Bahamas and Southern Florida during the winter months. I was wondering what other owners have done to store and carry a dinghy. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

I just got a 1995 Carver 355 Aft Cabin and the swithces on the dash have a rubber like coating on them and the rubber is breaking down to a semi liquid state. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this happening and if anyone knows where I can get replacement switches

Hi, we just bought a 1995 Carver 355 Aft Cabin and so far, we like it a lot. We keep it in Oxnard CA. it's name is Vitamin Sea. Of course I have a list of fix-it items, but most are small. We have had it for almost 3 weeks now. We have had other boats but never one that stays in the water before. We did a lot of research before we took the plunge so we are not surprised at the cost to keep it. We sold our 30 foot Chapparal, which in my opinion was not a well built boat and before that we had an old 25 foot Searay which I think was a well built boat. From what I can tell, Carver makes a good one too. We are looking forward to playing out by the channel islands and spending weekends on the boat
