Hello friends,

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted…I’ve been working on my vessel. My God, it’s slow going and expensive.

In the salon area, I’ve been taking the wall panels off and I’m getting those covered in black leather.

I was thinking while those panels are off, does it make sense to add some spray foam insulation?

This is my first boat - and criticisms are welcome..I have a thick skin.

Kindly,
v/r,
Stephen

Good luck with your project. Try and enjoy using the boat some so you won't get totally burned out and give up. :-)

More of a heads up than a criticism. There is a tremendous amount of radiant heat that comes thru the the sides/windows of any boat. These areas can benefit from good color choices to help with mitigating the heat transmission IMO.

One other thing, it is a good idea to not lose sight of the finished cost vs the finished value of the boat IF this is something you will not keep and enjoy for many years to come......good luck with your upgrades, I always enjoyed restoring boats of all kinds, have never added spray foam so can't help there.
