This came out of the port side of a 1996 Carver Mariner with twin crusaders.
I had this drive disassembled for a rebuild, was in a hurry and ordered a new drive for $5000 instead. I was told that this drive is in great condition and didn't need a rebuild, but we had it apart and that's where it ended.
If you know anything about Walter drives, you know that they are built very robust. The gears and bearings are massive and in decent shape. You could order a few replacement parts and have this rebuilt to be good as new.
