Hi all,
We have a 2005 Carver 38SS with Volvo 8.1s that we need to remove the port engine. The Galley and flooring are covering what would be the port side engine hatch in the floor and does not appear to be removable. The salon has a raised dining area with the aft cabin below it. There is a bulk head directly aft of the engine so it cannot go to the rear.

Any ideas? anyone been here before?

A few pictures would probably help to solicit some responses.

I'd bet a lot of it comes apart for removal, but it might be a lot of work. In some vessels I've heard folks choose to remove the starboard engine so they could shift the port engine over to that area before they lifted it out.
