Hi all, my 350 is a 2000. What seal should I buy/change to stop a water infiltration there?

I think that I’m fairly knowledgeable about gas engines, at least I thought that I was until recently. One of my Volvo Penta 740b engines started missing on our latest trip, and I was shocked to find that both distributors had rusted so badly that the advance weights were frozen and the springs were actually missing.
I had changed the spark plugs last year and the engines seemed to be running fine, I thought, so I never even thought about a problem with the distributors.
Never take for granted that things are perfect under your distributor cap, be thorough when you’re doing a tune up on your engines!

I am working on a 65' Marquis Davit lift that needs the hydraulic unit replaced. Does anyone have any information on the Model or Manufacturer of the unit? It is 24vdc powered. It was underwater so most of the unit is rusty and corroded.

I know I have seen this question before but I cannot locate it. I am looking for the black rubber trim insert that wraps around the the flybridge, above the salon windows, on a Carver 396. Other models used it. Mine, like many, has shrunk leaving gaps. If someone has found a replacement please let me know. Thanks.

Hello everyone, new to the forum. I just bought a 2006, Carver Mariner 36. I am interested in the full enclosure isinglass system which covers all the way to the transom. Has anyone purchased one (had one made) recently? If so, please provide details.

These vessels are a lot of work, but it is worth it once out enjoying them while underway! I just finished up with a few updates to the helm area of my Carver 350 last night. It was pretty gloomy out yesterday here, so wasn't able to get the best photos and will try again sometime soon. I'm getting everything in the helm area closer to where I want it, but a few more touches to do still. I have attached some before and after photos below.

Does anyone know how the switch panel and dashboard pieces are mounted? Seems that the switch board might be glued somehow and assuming the dashboard is probably the same way, but I am not 100% sure on that yet.

Well, I guess I now know that my windlass works well!

I need to replacer the feshwater pump in a 1990 Marnier 320. The old pump is 5 amps and 30 PSI. Is there a risk in relpacing it with a 7.5 amp 50 PSI pump?

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum here and glad to be a part of it! I purchased a 2004 Carver 350 Mariner a while back and really liking this vessel! No major issues at all and getting really familiar with everything with the maintenance and such. BTW...not a drip of water in the engine room either, so really glad to see that! Engines and Transmissions are rock solid as well...I have never felt a single miss.

I do quite a bit of racing and have built higher hp cars, but the only thing about this Carver is that I can't just have this thing setting out in my garage to work on at my leisure. It seems that every time you do anything to this thing it is mandatory that you have to work in the smoldering heat and to sweat profusely until the maintenance is complete!

Anyway, I am really loving this yacht and when I have questions about anything on Google this forum always comes up! Seems that people on here really know what they are talking about when it comes to Carvers and glad to be a part of this forum!

I installed new Wet Sounds speakers along with the light rings. The light rings were a LOT of work going from the flybridge, through the engine room, through the salon, up to the helm and then to the front!
