I cannot figure out how to remove and replace the screen in two portholes on my 2000 396 aft cabin. I tried removing all of the screws on the frame shown in the attached photo but that was no help. Any suggestions?

I watched this boat burn to the waterline yesterday. I am providing a local new article. No word yet on a cause.

I've just joined the forum. We are in Vero Beach, Florida and have a 2004 Carver Marquis 360 Sport Sedan.
It's a great boat and we love it!
Looking forward to getting to know the community more and I am sure we will have some questions about upkeep on the boat.

1998 3126 diesel —hose from thru hull to strainer needs replacing. Any advice on type of hose or make .
There are a few and the prices vary a lot. It’s a 2 inch 19 inches long

I have a Mercruiser 260 in my 89 Carver Montego.

Im being told to replace my batteries by a marine mechanic or "Upgrade" the batteries . He's trying to "upsell" me.

I believe the batteries I currently have in the boat are the specs that Mercruiser suggests.

Can anyone confirm the batteries and specs One should have in the boat or for that engine?

I have a 2001 466 Carver that needs to have the vinyl/rubber glazing strips replaced. Do you have a source for the vendor that Carver uses for these extrusions? I need the continuous strips that fit between the glass and the aluminum frames/extrusions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to remove the painted on name from the transom without damage. Anyone have a sure fire bullet proof method for this that will leave no damage?
