I am looking at getting my first boat (grew up on small lakes but now I am on Lake Michigan). I am tossed up on which one to get. There is a bayliner for sale (1994) for 5k in good shape, a 87 Sundance for 6k or a 1986 Carver 2757 for 7.5k with 1200hrs on the engine. Any input? I heard bayliner is crap (pinto of boats), Sundance is the Chevy and Carvers are the Cady's.

Ok so I Have a Carver 3207 and i need an aft Bimini. Here people want upwards of 2k to make one for my deck.I was thinking of buying a cheaper one online with all Stainless Hardware however I can get all the specs i need except the width, my rails are 122 inches Apart. Soooooo i was thinking order one and cut the Bow's in the middle and add some Stainless to equal out the width.I have a Friend That has heavy duty Sewing equipment and she said she'd Widen it for me for a low price with matching ...

Does anyone know the color scheme for the Carver Yachts insignia on the pilot seat?

We have a 1986 Carver Riviera that came with a thru hull depth transducer and cable but no gauge. The tag on the cable reads Apelco M28871 and the cable is Airmar C9 C1225. Does anyone know what type of gauge will be compatible with this equipment.

Hi, My name is Tom and I'm a Diver... just got a Carver Santa Cruz 2566 from 1977. looking to turn it into a Dive Boat.
anyone with past experience in doing such a thing would be of great assistance to me.
I'm looking at trimming out the stern and adding a dive platform. I'm looking for advice on what can be done without losing structural integer of the vessel.
