Post Powerwinch Capstan 1000

I intend to install a windlass on my 300 Sedan this Spring, and it seems the easiest install would be a Powerwinch 1000 which is a horizontal capstan for line only. Anyone else have any experience with that particular winch?

Post On-board WW Treatment

I’m looking at investing in an on-board waste-water treatment system such as an electric (e.g., Lectra/San) or a bacteria based system for my 1988 Carver 3807. Does anyone here have experience with this type of system?

Post 86 3207 aft cabin passenger capacity

Hi All,

I am looking at a 1986 3207 aft cabin with a pair of 270HP Crusaders. My question is how many adults on board before performance suffers and it’s hard to plane?

I currently have an 88 Sea Ray 300 Sundancer and it planes out pretty good until we have 10 or more adults on board.

We have a lot of friends that like to come out on the boat and I’m hoping the 3207 will still perform well loaded down.

Thanks!

Post Hello From Canada

Hi everyone and thank you for all your advice and opinions for years. It’s great to read of people with similar issues as us, that are not afraid to put themselves up for scrutiny on forums. I have watched from this side of the window for many years on many forums gathering very good tech information and hands on personal diagnosis. So thank you to all of you, and thank you for the laughs of some of the questions and newbie ridiculous things we all have done and afraid to admit.

Post 1983 Carver 3607 / Need Resource for windows repair Materials

The Spring Loaded windows (All around) my yacht need new "flip up windows". Most of the "ears" for the locking screws have been broken. I can remove the frames and repair the frames and screens; but don't have any options - that I can see - for repairing the window (other than replacing it).
Any ideas on resources?

ANY suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Post 2 x 30 amp power cords, 25 feet and 50 feet

I just removed this from the boat for the winter. I did notice some burn marks. couple months ago tide was very high and these two were connected to each other. there was protection, but water must have gotten in. When i got to boat, I pulled it higher away from the water and did not open and check. Continued using it for 3+ months with no problems. And when I was removing one set (I have 2, one for normal power, other for AC). I noticed the burn marks (see pictures). Again they seemed t ...

Post Carver 356 couch and other seating

Hi all. I am not sure there is a demand for the 2000 carver 356 reclining couch set and also the kitchen table seating (cushions only)? I am in the process of making custom seating, so all existing seating in dining area and sitting area will need to go. Also I am not sure if the main section of the recliner can be taken apart to remove from the door? I will check when I get back to it. If It will not fit through door (and probably will not), than I will have to chop it up and dispose of it ...
