Post 1986 3207 Swim Platform soft?
- Posted by: captainscall » January 9th, 2020, 5:37 pm
- Forum: Carver Yachts Forum - Model Discussion
Hi All,
I just made an offer on a 1986 3207 Aft Cabin. I told the broker that the swim platform was very soft and he did not seem to agree. Every other part of the boat is very solid but the swim platform definitely feels very soft under my feet, enough to where I thought I was going to fall through. Is this a wood cored platform? Is it a common issue on the 3207?
Thanks!!!

Post 2001 Carver 444: survey says???

Beautiful day to go through the new boat. Went through the systems, tested everything (except the water maker; apparently it is common to not test this unless you plan to use it with ocean water, the San Francisco Bay "mucky water" is not recommended to run through the membranes).
The boat was deemed "above average" for its overall condition and the upgrades by the surveyor. Comps will be virtually impossible according to the surveyor, that is actually great news to hear.
Boat will need:

I would like to install a tank monitor on the black water tank of my Carver Riviera 2807. Does anyone have any experience with the Scad TMI Tank Monitor with external sensor that is attached to the outside of the tank?

Post 396 owners how do you clean this?
- Posted by: 650Guy » January 5th, 2020, 4:04 pm
- Forum: General Repairs & Maintenance
Well, our off season is well on its way and all of us are working away at our winter projects getting ready for another fun filled summer ahead!
So my question to fellow 396 owners, how do you clean the roof of the upper aft cabin? I know you cannot stand or put weight on the roof, I'm pretty tightly packed in for storage, so latter next to me is pretty unlikely. So how do you all get that clean? even during the summer months? Last fall was my first season with the boat, and really had not ...

Post Shrink Wrap Film

I am thinking about DIY shrink wrapping my 1989 Carver 3607 Aft Cabin. Anyone have an idea what size shrink wrap would provide the necessary coverage? Is 36' x 70' too big?

Post new Portholes for my 1985 3607

Hey folks,
I'm looking to change my Portholes (9) on my 1985 3607 Carver. I'm working really hard to bring her back to tip top shape. She is running like new but now needs some "cosmetic" work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
greg

Hello all,
I am currently closing in on purchasing a 2001 444. Very excited and trying to learn all I can. I love most everything about this boat, it is a great fit for us. Does anyone have any idea what these 444's cost (roughly) when they were brand new? Thanks in advance!

Post Galley space
- Posted by: pepmyster » January 1st, 2020, 8:41 am
- Forum: The Project Center
First, Happy New Year to the whole gang! Now, Having a 2004 360 SS, we find the interior of the galley cabinets missing logic. I mean, interior space usage. The PO did some mods which were , need to say, not smart. So, the galley is in perfect shape and we need some ideas of the way we can get better usage from the inside. If you have done anything that has added to the greatness of your galley, please post it it here. Thanks again!
