Post Waste Tank Caps

I have a 1999 Carver 504 Hardtop. It has two holding tanks. The waste caps are of two different threads. They are located right next to each other on the starboard side. My manual doesn't address this. Anyone know why the two different thread sizes?

Post Hello

My name is Jim Bennett and I recently bought a Carver Voyager 3326 Flybridge Motor Vessel. I have it moored in Seattle, WA. I hope to find moorage further North, but our out of control housing prices have caused thousands to move to liveaboards all over the state. I have been told that wait times at other Marinas range from 3 years to 13 years. Its nuts.... Average 2 bedroom apartment is $2000+ in most areas in Western Washington.

Post Oil pressure gauge malfunction?

Hi Folks,

I was returning home from a weekend trip yesterday, when all of a sudden alarms started going off, so I throttled down to find out what was going on. I saw that both oil pressure gauges showed almost no oil pressure, so I shut down the engines. After checking the oil levels, which were good, and visually inspecting the engines, I decided to start them and see if the issue would continue. I fired them up and the oil pressure gauges read normal. I got up to cruising speed and had a pleasa ...

Post Fireboy issue - Halon

Last year had a new halon tank installed on my 2000 396 aft cabin. I never noticed but the switch in the control panel was not placed in the on position. This year when I activated the switch, there was a warning buzz sounding at the helm. I see there is a small test button at the helm to the right of the wheel. What am I missing?

Post Hi Everyone!

Hi Folks,

I'm Chuck and I have a 1999 Carver 326 with twin gas engines. I boat on the Upper Chesapeake and spend almost every weekend there from mid-April until late October. Myself and 4 other boaters took our boats to Baltimore this past weekend and had a blast!

Post Composting Toilet Installation.

If anyone is interested we removed our old sewage holding tank and hoses and replaced them with a composting toilet from AirHead. Everything was leaking and smelled aweful.

Pictures of the process can be found here:

Post Loss of RPM above 2500

Got a 1989 Carver 3207 with Dual 5.7 gas Merccruisers. Engines run fine at 2500 RPM I can run forever. Go to 2800 on the Starboard engine and RPM drop right down nothing. Gas Filter changed, no change. No real change in exhaust except it smells like it is running lean on that engine.

Seems like fuel starvation problem or by reading here also looks like it could be plugs and wires or maybe weak fuel pump. Anyone here with a similar problem on a similar vintage?

thanks

Post Drapery Rail Replacement Parts

Does anybody know where to get the bearings and hooks for a 1989 Carver Santego 38? We recently purchased this vessel and the draperies were removed. Rails are still in tact. Need to get the bearings and hooks to install new drapery. The ones I found on Great Lakes Skipper are sized 1-3/16" rail. The ones on the Carver appear to be more of 3/8 (perhaps skinnier, I forgot to get a dimension).

Does anybody have a source for these parts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Donna
