The captain and I recently took her 2006 Carver 36MY out for a 5 day cruise in PNW. We experienced a couple of occasions where some low speed maneuvering (in the wind) requiring some throttle "blips", but coming back to neutral, killed starboard engine, and it didn't immediately want to restart/idle. I could bump throttle, restart, then bump throttle back down?



Some earlier docking lessons had similar scenario, that hadn't repeated before now?

I am thinking of running a separate circuit to the fly bridge of my 1994 CPMY for the electronics. I would make a run from the back of the selector switch which is under the stairs, up the wire chase and under the dash panel. I would place a battery disconnect switch up there so I could effectively shut off all electrical from the electronics while they are not used. I have:

Quantum 2 Dome

Raystar 130 GPS

Evolution Auto Pilot



What sized cable would you suggest? Would a number 4 ...

I have a '88 36 Mariner, and the captains chair is WAY too low for me. Does anyone know if the post can be replaced? If so, what diameter size does it need?

Unfortunately, I'm taking a trip and don't have access to the boat right now to check it out closer. Any information would be great because I'd like to order something taller for this weekend's cruise when I get back.

Good day to everyone!!! We would like to know if anyone has redone their dash panels. We would like to update ours by going to the burl wood look. Has anyone used a wrap? Seen wrap on many sites and also some places selling the actual panels which would have to be cut , which, seems to be a lot of work for all the switches etc...Thanks for any input.

looking for swim platform for an 83 3207 aft cabin any out there

Just wanted to drop and and introduce myself. We just got a 1983 3207 aft cabin. Looking forward to learning as much as possible about our new to us boat.

Anything we should worry about? First thing to look for?

General question....On our 326 Aft we have two beds in the aft (one twin and one single) that the kids and friends mostly use. That leaves the Vberth and pull out couch for the boss and I. Pull out couch is moderately comfortable as is and the vberth doubles as a dining table so the fill in cushions slip and slide all over the place and are very thin as is.



Anyone have experience with improving either of these sleep areas by adding padding/mattress of some sort?
