Post looking for railing supplier

Hi everyone.
I'm looking to replace the port bow rail on my boat as mine was recently damaged in a storm while on dry dock.

I have the part numbers from the parts manual, but i don't know a supplier that can source the parts.

Has anyone had any luck ordering replacement railings?

thanks
Phil

Post Cockpit Accent Lighting

As I walk up and down transient docks on my cruises, I find many boats with some pretty nice 12 volt lighting. Many blues, a couple of reds, some with changing colors and an occasional standard incandescent light. Thats me.
I would be interested is seeing some evening pictures of your boat at the dock. I am not as interested in 'underwater' lighting at this point. Perhaps if I lived in Barbados.....
Anyway, has anyone modified the lighting on your vessel? If so, was it just a matter of changin ...

Post Refrigerator

I am looking to replace the original Norcold refrigerator in my 1994 CPMY. I have seen new NORCOLD and also a unit I never heard of named Vitrifrigo. Any input on theses. My NORCOLD is a little harder to cool, but it still works good, just thinking that this will be the project this year. Also, anyone ever bring a unit in and out? Doesn’t look like ther is a lot of room coming in the sliding door to the aft cabin up the stairs, across the salon and down he stairs into the galley. I tell you this ...

Post Valve under galley sink

On our 455, there is lever to a valve located under the galley sink, inside the cabinet. One position is marked "in service", and the other position is marked "tank fill". I have no idea what tank it is referring to, nor its purpose. Anyone know???

Post 98 Model 405 A/C Issue

Captains,

So this past summer I took a 2 week vacation by plane to the Bahamas. When I returned the aft cabin a/c was not cooling and the pump was not pumping from the thru hull.

The bow a/c was and is cooling properly and was pumping correctly even though this is a one strainer pump system? I had cleaned the strainers before I left but I am on a Lake and normally this is never an issue. Just time I guess gents?

So my questions are these? Local boat mechanic feels the compressor has gone bad?Suppos ...

Post How to remove wood from cabin entry for refinishing?

Hi all,

There is a piece of wood that you step over when you enter the cabin on my Santego 3467 (1990). I'd like to remove it for refinishing. I removed all of the screws that I could find but it is still firmly attached. The rail for the curtain is on top of this piece. Do I need to remove the carpet to look for more screws?

Thanks!
Barry

Post 98 model 405 hot water heater

Captains,

It would appear my hot water heater is leaking. Pictures attached:)

It appears water is spraying from the metal relief valve and it still has the plastic drain valve as shown in the pictures to the left.

If I leave the pressure washer on, it will drain the fresh water tank. Boat had 335 hours on it 2 years ago and it has 450 on it now, so low hours.

This is the Seaward brand and probably what came with the boat.

So here are my questions?
In the forums, some people are replacing both valves ...

Post Headliner Attachment

Voyager Owners. Does anyone know how the headliner is attached in fwd. VIP stateroom? Is it “mechanically” held up or glued? Extensive fiberglass repair needed on deck above and repair team worried about damaging the headliner.
Thanks, John
