Post trim tab controls
- Posted by: rjr » May 18th, 2019, 2:12 pm
- Forum: Electrical
Has anyone changed the controls for the trim tabs? I have the little buttons and have purchased the rocker type controls. Looks like the hole for the rocker set may be a little bigger than the existing opening. True?
Also, is there a trick for removing the base for the button controls?
Thanx in advance.

Post Balancing amount of gas in internal tanks - Carver 41 CMY
- Posted by: bobcinga » May 18th, 2019, 2:02 pm
- Forum: Gas Engines/Transmissions
We recently purchased a 2006 Carver 41 CMY. The owners manual talks about valves on the bottom of the main tanks towards the front, inboard section of both main tanks and on the sides of the auxiliary tanks you can open to balance the volume of gas side to side in the boat. This would appear to be important as the generator runs only off the port.
For the life of me I've looked all over the place and can't locate anything that looks like a valve. Both main tanks appear to be sitting flush against ...

- Forum: Carver Yachts Forum - Model Discussion
I’m trying to find a company that makes aqua mats and already has the templates for them. I want to do the helm area, lower aft, swim platform and steps. I have a 466 and I have seen several 466 boats with them but I cannot find who makes them. Any help would be appreciated.

Post Unidentified Hoses

- Forum: Gas Engines/Transmissions
I have some unidentified heater hoses that are laying between my port engine and port side gas tank that are zip tied together. The hoses are not attached to anything and run aft to a pvc tube next to my port engine shaft tube. Any ideas appreciated before I look further.

Post Carvr 325 MY Transmission overheating

- Forum: Gas Engines/Transmissions
Hello everyone. I am the proud owner of my first boat - a 1996 Carver 325 Motor Yacht. I love the boat but so far she does not love me. Last year we took the bought out, had an alarm which turned out to be an overheating starboard transmission. Had my marina replace the transmission and cooler with new during the winter. Just took the boat out for the first time this year. Had the same overheating problem with the starboard transmission. The engine is running well and not overheating. This ...

Post Time for a New Carver?
- Posted by: SpaceCowboy » May 15th, 2019, 5:16 pm

My 2006 Carver 42 Super Sport has treated me well, but I think it's time to upgrade to a newer vessel.
Currently, my eyes are set on this beauty:

Is there another model I should consider checking out? Any major issues I should be aware of? I'm doing research on my own but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask the experts.

Post Clarion disk changer stuck
- Posted by: Cooler » May 15th, 2019, 11:18 am
- Forum: Electronics & Navigation
Hello all! I loaded up my cartridge for my Clarion CD changer yesterday. Re-inserted, turned the power on and I got a message of ERR - 2. Tried to eject the cartridge from the changer, and it does not come out. Sounds like it is trying to change a CD. Unit hold 6 CD's, thinking I may have loaded one wrong. Any thoughts on how I can get that cartridge to eject out of unit? The cartridge is separate from the control unit. Thanks!
