Post Garmin date and time wrong

Hello all, is anyone else experiencing incorrect time and date data on your Garmin GPS Network? For the last three weekends in a row, my Garmin is displaying date and time data from 1999 on the tides and current page. I was keeping an eye on the tide page so that I knew when it was okay to carry the heavy items from my boat up the ramp. Never bothered to look at the shoreline, the ramp was steep. Tried everything to reset and nothing seems to work. Just curious if I'm the only one. Thanks, Dave.

Post 1993 Carver Voyager 350

Hi,
I plan to replace the cabin and stateroom carpet and wondered if there are recommendations of material to use? We have been thinking about Hydrodeck flooring?

Post 97 Mariner 350 - Pleae help decide

Hello CY owners,

We are in the market for a carver 350 mariner specifically as we like its interior design. I saw one listed locally for a decent price and decided to visit it. I am not new to boating but this will be my first motor yacht. We plan to take half/full day cruises few times a year in local Galveston Bay. No long trips planned at this time.

This boat per broker was in probate after PO passed away and has been docked here at his marina for 1 year without being started or operated. We li ...

Hey All!

Finally in a position in my career to chase some dreams. The wife and I are moving to Florida this year and will be buying a boat for the first time. We are super excited and are doing a bunch of research on what to buy. I think i have narrowed down to buying a Carver boat. I'm super excited to join the Carver community and hope I can gather all the information I need to make a solid educated decision!

Post Carver 41 CMY Questions

We recently purchased a 2006 Carver 41 CMY. I've read in a couple of post that the stairs pull out to allow greater access to the engine area, but can't figure out how to get them out. I read in another post about removing 4 screws but can't find any. Another post said just pull straight out. They don't appear to budge no matter what I do.

My second question relates to aft salon. Facing the bow on the starboard wall there is a standard light switch and another selector switch. What do these contr ...

Post Dripping blister on keel

When we had the boat surveyed the surveyor said the boat needed a bottom paint job and it had a previous blister repair that was not completely finished on the keel. We pulled the boat out of the water to have props tuned and bottom painted.
On starboard keel midships is the blister and my repair guy has ground the blister. It's been out of water two days and the spot is still dripping water. Thoughts and suggestion needed please. Thank you.

Post Shout Out to Pat the Parts Guy at Marquis Yatchs

Called once again for a silly little part. Roller latch for the shore power door on my 356 broke. Couldn’t find an exact so I called Pat and with little effort he said “well you have 6 installed how many do you want”? That was yesterday at around noon. Box was delivered today!! Great Freaking service! Also needed the drip deflector/swipe for my aft state shower door. Pat gave me the part number and MFG to call to order. Should be here next week!

Thanks Pat!

Post Anchor Windlass breaker

I just purchased my first Carver a couple of weeks ago. It is a 2001 404 CPMY. Can anyone tell me how to operate the anchor windlass breaker that is under the stairs leading from outside to the salon? It is a round red button and I can't tell if it should be pull out or pushed down? I can't seem to get power to switch at the control station and I am not sure if it's related to the red breaker/button?

Post Auxiliary Fuel Tank

I just purchased a 2001 Carver 404 CPMY with gas engines and after the boat sat for 2 weeks, we noticed a strong smell of gasoline in the aft stateroom. Upon further inspection, the bilges were dry and the engine room did not smell. The next time I fueled, I tried filling the auxiliary tank (which is located between the aft stateroom and the transom below the cockpit) and lifted the hatch to see what was up. As i fueled, I saw gasoline dripping from the bottom of the tank. It would appear that t ...
