I just removed this from the boat for the winter. I did notice some burn marks. couple months ago tide was very high and these two were connected to each other. there was protection, but water must have gotten in. When i got to boat, I pulled it higher away from the water and did not open and check. Continued using it for 3+ months with no problems. And when I was removing one set (I have 2, one for normal power, other for AC). I noticed the burn marks (see pictures). Again they seemed to function perfectly fine. The second set is fine, no damage sign, and I am keeping that. This one I already purchased a 75 foot replacement (yes 75 foot - expensive too). In any case, I take no responsibility for it's use. But they seemed to work fine for me. I am sure the cable them self are perfectly fine. The heads can be replaced probably, or used as is, I am no electrician. So maybe consult one if you are interested. make me an offer if interested. They are now located in Germantown MD. But I can ship in US.
