Post AC Passport I/O Control operation

Hi y''all, having trouble with the display to operate the AC. I have a 366 Carver MY. The system was working fine on heat a few weeks ago (Canada eh!) and when I tried to operate in AC it just won't respond. Lowering the temp does not kick in the cool air. I reviewed the Passport I/O manual and tried program mode but instead of "P" coming up, I get a "U". No where in the manual is "U" discussed. If I press on some more a code "A26" comes up which also is not in the manual. Does anyone hav ...

Post Old Santa Cruze Owner

That's right. The boat is old and so am I. Too bad I have just found this site as I am coming to the end of my boating days. I bought the '78-'79 25ft. flybridge on lake Mead in 1990 with 150 hrs. on the motor. It now has about 1000 hrs. on it, has new heads w/hardened valves. and runs great. But I am not running as well.

The thought of putting this boat up for sale brings a tear to my eye as I have trailed it and boated all over the country with many memories. It's triple axle aluminum trail ...

Post Raymarine E120's and a DSM 300 Connection

I have a two display system of E 120's that I am connecting to a transducer that came with my 405. I have an uninstalled DSM 300 for the connection. I am looking to identify the cables I will need to power up the DSM, and any cable / connect switch that I will need to run from the DSM to the E120's. I am told that once these connections are made its plug and play. Any information is appreciated.

Post DC to DC charger or FET isolator for thruster

I would like to charge the thruster battery from the windlass wiring while underway but don't want any chance of back feed to the windlass when it is operated. That is the general idea of it, I am trying to avoid running giant cables all over.

I have seen something called a dc to dc charger....anyone know how they work ? Will an ACR like something from Blue seas work for this ?

I can charge it from the house charger one leg with a cable, but I think underway is the way to go....opinions??

Post Hot Water Tank vs tankless heater

Hey All,

I think my hot water tank has come to the end of its service life. Considering replacing my 11 gal tank with one of those inline tankless heaters. Has anyone done it? the tankless ones seem to be cheaper and would THINK they are more efficient?

Just wondering if anyone has done it and had any thoughts/advise?

Post Horrendous Odor

We have an absolutely awful stench coming from god knows where.

Hoping someone here can give us some guidance.

Here is what we know and suspect.

The aft bilge (not the engine bay) had some standing water that seemed to be the source of the smell. Hosed it out and scrubbed it using some bilge cleaner. Smell still there.

The engine bay seems to be seperate and not connected to the bilge area of the cabin. Engine bay bilge smells fine.

The toilet is the pump style with electric assist. We think the se ...
