Purchased our 2001 350 Mariner in September of last year and we love it. This weekend the Kohler gas generator started and ran for about a minute then quit and wouldn’t start again. After some diagnoses I discovered that it is not getting gas. I can only assume that the fuel pump or electric fuel valve are the cause. Boating neighbors has a 1985 36' Aft cabin, both are up there in age and its getting to much for them. They are the second owners and have been boating with it for over 30 years. All the port windows have been replaced with new, the aft has a new hard top and all new canvas enclosure. She's in real good shape for its year and has been stored inside for several winters and heated. Hey y'all! My name is Jena. My boyfriend David and I purchased a 1987 Mariner 3297 that needed some TLC. We've replaced one of the engines already, and it's twin is going in this week. We have a question about the steering cylinder, as neither the cylinder nor any of the owner's/parts manuals came with the boat. Is there anyone who may have the time to answer a few questions? We're located in Kemah, TX, and we love it here on our new-to-us boat!

Looks like I'm about to be the new owner of a very nice 1998 Carver 405 with Cummins 6BTA 5.9 330hp engines. One of the survey items was that the PSS shafts seals could use replacing. I live in Canada and the boat is in La Conner WA so I can't pop over and measure the prop shaft and tube diameters. I'm hoping someone can tell me what the shaft diameter and stern tube diameter is.

I have a 50 amp 125 volt service on my pedestal that I run a marinco y cable from to get two 30 amp connections for the boat. I am thinking about putting two 30 amp inlets on the pedestal and want to use the wiring I have. Is that possible?

Has anyone replaced the screen and gasket on a primary fuel filter on a 454 Xli? Its the one that looks like a flying saucer. I am going to replace my fuel filters and wanted to get a spare set of primary gaskets just n case they need replacement during inspection. Only part number I could find that looks remotely the same is CRU-RA077013, and the screen appears to have the rubber gasket pre-molded to the screen. Also looking for a supplier with a reasonable cost. On-line prices range from $110 ...

Final trip of last season on the way back to the marina my RPM's slowed while on plane (was cruising around 3200 and fell to 3000). Normally just give her a bump and good to go. When I did RPM's did not increase in spite of pushing both throttles to full and would not get above 3000. Normally when jumping up on plane I can get North of 4000 if I want to and cruise around 3100.



As it was both engines acting identical (Mercruiser 350's), I assumed maybe bad gas, filters or something related so ...

My manual says the engine block on my Crusader 6.0mpi engine has two drains for the antifreeze. I can’t find them (yet) and would like to know if someone here can guide me. Or better yet, a picture. Have not been able to find an image of them anywhere. Thanks in advance.
