Post Need replacement Rub Rails for 1983 Carver 3607 Aft Cabin

Does anybody know of a resource for replacement Rub Rails for a 1983 Carver 3607 Aft Cabin? I need to replace mine all the way around (looks like the previous Operator played bumper cars with the yacht).

Post Looking for side hull ventilation covers for 1983 Carver 3607 Aft Cabin

Looking for side hull ventilation covers for 1983 Carver 3607 Aft Cabin. The ones I have are chewed up (previous Operator apparently didn't know how to properly dock a yacht).

Post New to the Forum

Howdy,
New to the Forum
Just became a Carver 3607 owner
Piloted boats most of my life - largest was a twin screw 74' 96 ton tug. I got tired of piloting everybody else's boat - so I bought my own.

I will be asking lots of questions about sources for mostly cosmetic stuff for my yacht.

Post Carver Refrigerator questions

Our Carver 455 has the original refrigerator, which is still working after 22 years but may need replacement in the near future. Anyway, First Question: we are away from the docked boat (near Tarpon Springs, Fl) a couple of months at a time, and we are wondering if it is better for the refrigerator to leave it on, or turn it off, wipe it out and leave the doors open. We're worried that if it is off for a long period, it might do more harm than good, but we know nothing about this either way. ...

Post RE: New Owner of 1997 Carver 455

Hi Everybody! We are new owners to a 1997 Carver 455 named "It's About Time". We love the layout of this boat, and plan to make her our Florida home in the 6 worst months of New England weather. If anyone owns one, please let us know so we might be able to find out more about the possible issues and peculiarities of this model. She has Cummins 450s with 1500 hours, and we just serviced the diesels (oil changes, aftercooler replacements, new exhaust wet-side risers, etc. We are docked just i ...

Post Kohler generator help

I purchased a 1987 3207 that has a generator issue. It is a Kohler 7.5R27 (106276-A), serial #177842.

The generator starts and runs for 30 seconds then shuts down. If I disconnect the ground lead from the magneto the engine will run 1 minute then shut down.

I am a pretty good mechanic but don’t know anything about troubleshooting generators.

I would truly appreciate help with troubleshooting, or if anyone has a service/troubleshooting manual, or if anyone knows a good Kohler repair person in the Sa ...

Post Eliminating Water Heater from Mercury Engine 7.4 MPI

Wanted to share the photos and how to eliminate the engine coolant from going through the water heater. My water heater on my Voyager 370 started leaking water and I was not comfortable having the engine coolant go ing through the water heater so I looped the connections on the engine with a piece of 5/8" silicone heater hose that is rated at 350 degrees and high pressure, yes the hose is better than you need but worth the extra 10 bucks.

Left the hoses going to the water heater in case we hook ...
